Activity and Charity Week

The week derived after the first 3 years of the Charity Shield Golf which had many owners and guests making a point of visiting the Resort to partake in the competition so in 2011 a week of Activities which included 3 Golf competitions, Go Karting, Walks in the Parque El Valle, Fashion Show, Cycle rides, Quiz night and much more concluded in a Gala Presentation and entertainment evening held at the Sandalo Club House on the Resort proved a huge success which has continued to the present day.

The small community have supported many charities in Spain and the UK which have included.

• Guide Dogs for the Blind
• Cancer research in Children
• Caritas
• Footsteps
• Lorca Earthquake appeal
• Arrixaca Hospital
• Debra ES – Butterfly Childrens Charity
• San Pedro Food Bank

This week and other events and functions has certainly cemented the community spirt on the Resort which continues to go from strength to strength.

2015 Charity and Activity Week starts on the 1st August and the Charities being supported this year will be the David Weir Foundation and local Spanish organisations.

One of the fund raising events is being undertaken by Lesley Pearce ‘The Lesley 100 mile cycle ride” on the 29th July and donations can be given at www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/Lesleychallenge
